1. What do I need to do a video interview?
To do a Tazio video interview you will need a computer with a webcam and microphone,
broadband internet connection.
2. Do I need to download any software?
You will need to have Flash Player installed on your computer. This is usually installed on
most computers as standard, however if not you can download it from here
3. Does Tazio work with any web browser?
Yes, Tazio should work with all web browsers and operating systems as long as you
have Flash Player installed. The only issue we're aware of is with some users
running Safari on Windows who are unable to enter text into the registration screen.
This is known issue with the latest version of Safari and Flash Player and should be resolved
soon.
4. What type and speed of internet connection do you recommend?
You should be able to record your interview using a basic broadband internet connection
with at least 256kbps upload speed. We recommend where possible you use a wired connection
as wireless networks can be less reliable. Although technically you can use a 3G
internet connection, we do not recommend this as the signal will fluctuate and this can
result in a poor video recording.
5. What happens if I loose power or internet during my interview?
If your computer suffers a power loose or your internet connections fails, you can log
back into the interview and you will be able to start the interview from the beginning of
question where you lost connection.
6. How many times can I sit an interview?
Normally you will only have one opportunity to sit the interview.
7. Can I do the interview if I don't have a webcam?
At the moment no. You will need either a built in webcam, most new laptops come
with webcams, or a USB webcam which can be purchased for less than £10.
7. Can I do the interview using a smartphone or tablet device?
Apple's iPhone and iPads do not currently support Flash Player, however we are working on
an interview screen which does not require the user to have Flash Player installed. On other
devices such as those running 'At the moment no. You will need either a built in webcam, most new laptops come
with webcams, or a USB webcam which can be purchased for less than £10.
1. Can I access Tazio from any computer?
Yes pretty much, Tazio works on Window's, Macs and Linux computers that have Flash Player installed and a
broadband internet connection. For full technical specs visit the Adobe Website
2. I can't watch or record videos?
If you can login to Tazio okay but are unable to watch or record videos this is most
likely due to your firewall blocking video streaming and downloads. Check with your IT
department or network administator and ask if they can allow video content through port
80 and 443. To record videos you will need to have RTMP access through port 1935 allowed.
We can provide a list of IP addresses if required.
3. Are video interviews on Tazio secure?
Yes, completely. Interviews on Tazio can only be accessed by following an encypted link generated
by the system. If this link was intercepted and published maliciously, the video interview
will only play a maximum of 20 times before being locked.
